Meet The Staff
Erez Eshel, Founder
Erez is the former chairman of the Student Union at Tel Aviv University, he co-founded several mechinot: Nachshon, Metzer, Maayan Baruch, Arava, Bnai Zion, Lachish and Tavor, and was one of the founders of Ein Prat. He served as a youth company manager in the Ministry of Education in the years 2012-2014. Erez is a lieutenant colonel in the reserves, served in command positions in the Maglan unit, paratroopers and Nahal. He holds a master's degree from Tel Aviv University. Erez is a member of the Kfar Adumim community with his wife Liat and their five children.
Nimrod Palmach, CEO
Nimrod is the CEO of Ein Prat and the Director of the Derech Prat movement. A social entrepreneur and educator, Nimrod is one of the founders of the mechinot at Kibbutz Nahal Oz and Kibbutz Sufa in the Gaza envelope. He has a BA in Jewish Philosophy and an MA in Diplomacy and security from Tel Aviv University. Nimrod served as a combat soldier and commander in the special forces. Nimrod lives in Jerusalem with his wife Liron and their son Guni.
David Nachman, Head of the Academy
David has taught at Ein Prat since its founding and has been the director of the academy since 2010. David holds a PhD in Israel Studies from Bar Ilan University, is the former principal of Mekor Chaim High School and previously taught at the Schechter Institute MA program. He serves as a lieutenant colonel in the IDF reserves and is a battalion commander in a Reconnaissance unit. David lives in the Elazar community in Gush Etzion with his wife and children.
Ruti Cohen, Administrative Director
Among the founding staff members of Ein Prat, Ruti has worked as Administrative Director since 2001. She holds a BA in Social Sciences and has extensive experience in HR and administration in the private sector. Ruti lives in Kfar Adumim with her family.
Shmulik Chen, Maintenance Coordinator
Shmulik is a building engineer and water and infrastructure supervisor. He has been working at Ein Prat since 2014. Shmulik served in the Navy as a naval officer, is a Krav Maga instructor and combat medic. He lives with his family in Kfar Adumim.
Yael Harari, Director: Overseas Program
Yael is the Director of the Overseas Program in the mechinot and is the resident
English speaker and writer on Ein Prat staff.
Yael holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature from Columbia University and a Masters degree in Adolescent English Education from Teachers College Columbia University. She has over ten years experience teaching high school literature. Since making aliyah in 2014, Yael has worked as an educational consultant and teacher mentor.
Vered Nissim, Secretary
Vered manages the activities of the organization's offices. She graduated from the Tzfat army service in the Signal Corps, works in personal training, and is a graduate of the Immanuel School. Vered joined Ein Prat in 2016. Born in Jerusalem, she now lives in Kfar Adumim with her family.
Oded Ben-Ari, Director of Kfar Adumim
Oded holds a BA in Social Sciences and Humanities from the Open University. He is an alumnus of Ein Prat: The Academy for Leadership’s third cycle and also attended the Higher Academy at Kfar Adumim. Oded served as an officer in the Education Corp and is currently a reserve officer. Oded was a counselor and teacher at Bnei Zion College in Tel Aviv, a teacher in the leadership program of Hashomer Hachadash, and a coordinator of North region of the Dor L’Dor organization. Oded lives in Alon with his wife Efrat and their children.
Limor Weisbart, Director of Nofei Prat
Born in Jerusalem, Limor holds a BA in Law from Bar Ilan University and is currently writing a Masters thesis in Jewish Philosophy at the Hebrew University. Limor is a graduate of the senior yoga instructors course at the Wingate institute, and one of the founders of the “Avoda Shebaguf” Beit Midrash and has previously taught on the faculty of the Tel Aviv Medical School and in Ein Prat: The Academy for Leadership. Limor has lived in Australia, South Africa, and the USA as an emissary of the Jewish Agency.
Shira Tzachi, Director of the Higher Academy
Shira holds a BA and MA in Jewish History and Geography from Hebrew University. For more than a decade, she was worked in environmental education. Shira teaches Jewish History and environmental education. She enjoys traveling, reading, singing, and spending time with her children. Shira lives in Kfar Adumim with her husband Matanya and their six children.
Gal Kaiser, Manager of Sufa
Born in Yishuv Nili, Gal went to Maagan Michael pre-army academy. She served for three years in the Magan unit, first as a lieutenant colonel and later as an officer. In her final position, she served as a lieutenant commander. She guided groups with in the “Masa Yisrael M’Breishit” program for three years. Gal is currently pursuing her BA in Special Education and Jewish Thought at Hebrew University. She lives in Kibbutz Sufa with her fiance Oron.
Shmaya Zell, Director of Derech Prat
Shmaya graduated with honors from Hebrew University with a BA in Political Science and History. He was the coordinator of the "Simcha Le'Yeled" organization, and managed and founded a student village of the Kedma organization in Rimonim. Shmaya served as a combat soldier and tank commander in the Armored Corps and is a active reservist. Today, he lives with his wife Morit and son Lavi in Kedem Arava, near the Dead Sea.
